Re: The Forgoing Recommendations hold good only, if the following conditions are met :
  • Uniform Consistency of material to be drilled.
  • Drills of ITM quality are used.
  • ITM drills of HSS and HSCO quality are used.
  • Max. Depth does not exceed three time the drill Diameter.
  • Good Machine Condition and rigid mounting of the work piece
  • No Drill Bushing are used.
  • Correct quality of Coolant and sufficient flow.
  • excessive run-out of the machine spindle or Drill.
With these point in mind, the figures in the table may be increase or reduce accordingly.
